Willamette Valley
That’s “Will-lam-it” (like dammit) Valley according to the locals…
If you haven’t been to the Willamette Valley in Oregon yet, don’t fret as you can follow along with our experiences when we visit the 1st week of September. We will be posting stories and information about the wineries we visit and our experiences as they happen along with some video. So, be sure to check us out so you too can see why great Pinot’s and other varietals flourish in this region, and maybe plan your next vacation.
If you want to plan your Willamette Valley winery trip, here’s something to get you started: http://www.willamettewines.com/
And here are some interesting stats on Oregon’s wine country: http://discover.winecountry.com/wine/2007/07/oregon-wine-country-facts-and.html
Here is the list of wineries we will be trying to visit over 4 days. Most are open daily, but there are a few that require RSVPs, so be sure you do your research before heading out. I found everyone of these wineries online, so it was very easy to find contact and tasting room information. Our “home base” will be the Black Walnut Inn http://www.blackwalnut-inn.com/ which sits practically in the middle of all of these wineries being located in Dundee, OR and is pretty nice from what I am told.
