Bio: Ed’s main objective is to translate his strategy, leadership, marketing, technology and interpersonal skills refined during his successful business career into a contributing role within a wine industry organization by exploiting progressive technologies and new media marketing strategies, including social media. Ed is an influential wine blogger with over 5 years experience in social media and has been featured on Winebusiness.com,Foodista.com, PalatePress, Tom Wark’s Fermentation and other impressive and influential sites. Ed is a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) and holds a Winemaker’s Certificate from UC-Davis.
Ed is a business and technology professional with over 18 years of experience solving market and business problems facing global institutions via innovative technology solutions and services. For over 5 years he was responsible for developing and managing strategic business plans for multiple product lines accounting for $30M annual revenue, which required defining and communicating the strategic path for all product lines from cradle to grave — ideation, feasibility analysis, development, launch, marketing, sales, customer relationship management and performance measurement (KPI’s). He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration as well as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
