Just found this Pinot mentioned at The Good Grape (see my links to the right for this site) at only $13 (in Indiana). I am skeptical but will try anything once.

Thanks for the comments, all! My wife and I are very much Willamette Valley Pinot nuts ever since we visited in 2008. You can see the places we visited by clicking the menu header up top. However, this summer I did come across some pretty awesome CA juice and I mentioned 2 of them: Halleck and C. Donatiello.

I am yet to really get focused on Burgundy, though I must try harder. I posted about a tasting we did recently and we find a couple we enjoyed... a Vogne-Romanee hit the spot.

Joe: you mentioned some other great regions too, but I have not been excited about NZ lately either. I'd be interested to try one from Chile as Kevin mentions.

So, Kevin, do you steer clear of pink sparklers or are you specificaly talking about Pinot Noir still wine you don't care for much?

Don't forget Santa Barbara County, Carneros, and New Zealand as good Pinot regions (granted, I am not in a Pinot phase right now...had a Marlborough one the other night that I was not digging at all, but that may be attested to my hearty, winter-weight wine fetish right now). Pinot's good with food, though, so I'll be back soon...
